Manual Woodworking Machine Operator – CNC Experience an Asset
Location: North York, ON
Pay Rate: $18–$24 per hour
Day Shift: Monday to Friday – 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM
Saturday Overtime: Required during peak season
Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Woodworking Machine Operator for a manufacturing facility in North York.
We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of hands-on experience operating and setting up woodworking machinery, including wood saws, panel saws, and other manual wood-processing equipment. Experience with CNC/NC machinery is an asset, but the primary focus is on robust manual machine operation, adjustments, tooling changes, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual woodworking machinery
Operate wood saws, panel saws, and other wood-processing machinery
Make machine adjustments and perform tooling changes
Measure and cut wood panels, boards, and other materials according to production requirements
Operate and monitor CNC/NC equipment as required
Troubleshoot basic machine and production issues
Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, cut lists, and specifications
Use calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools for quality checks
Complete production documentation and computer data entry
Perform basic machine maintenance
Follow safety procedures, PPE, SOPs, and 5S standards
Requirements
2+ years of hands-on woodworking machine operating experience
Experience operating wood saws, panel saws, or similar woodworking machinery
Experience with machine setup, adjustments, and tooling changes
Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read production drawings and blueprints
Experience using basic measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
Basic computer skills
CNC/NC experience is an asset
High School Diploma or equivalent
