You will have the privilege of working within affirm's Data and Storage Services team, managing OLTP and OLAP systems. As a Software Engineer II, you'll build and scale essential cache infrastructure, enhancing self-service capabilities for vital data storage needs.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure timely project delivery and thoughtful technical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and scale Cache Services on Redis and Valkey
Automate self-service workflows for cache requests
Define SLOs and monitor production fleet performance
Partner on caching strategy with client teams
Support product lifecycle through collaboration and documentation
Requirements:
2+ years in software engineering
Proficiency in Python or Kotlin
Experience with distributed systems like AWS and MySQL
Knowledge of Cache technologies such as Redis
Familiarity with Terraform and Kubernetes
