Job Summary: The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive quality assurance activities for large, complex business-critical systems.

This role involves planning testing strategies, developing and executing test plans and scripts, performing automated and manual testing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including accessibility requirements.

The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to validate system functionality, performance, and data integrity throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities: Advise on testing strategy, test plans, tool selection, and resource requirements.

Plan and organize testing efforts for GUI and non-GUI environments, including integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.

Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.

Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, ALM, and Azure Dev

Ops.

Collaborate with developers and project teams to reproduce and resolve issues.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and conduct performance, stress, and load testing.

Ensure testing processes comply with industry standards and accessibility regulations (AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA).

Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain detailed documentation of test results and quality metrics.

Support data analysis, cleansing, conversion, and reconciliation activities.

Provide input for user manuals and release notes.

Required Skills: Proven experience in testing and data reconciliation for large, complex business systems.

Strong ability to develop detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and expected results.

Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Micro Focus UFT, Selenium, Postman) and manual testing.

Expertise with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, ALM, and Azure Dev

Ops.

Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or Load

Runner.





Familiarity with accessibility testing aligned to AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA standards.

Experience with SQL and Oracle database tools for backend and data validation testing.

Understanding of software development and testing lifecycle methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Desired Skills: Experience in at least one programming language for test automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Java

Script).

Knowledge of object-oriented testing methods and information management principles.

Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications and custom implementations.

Working knowledge of web-based 3-tier software platforms and IBM J-Rules Engine.

Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as WAVES, JAWS, NVDA, and Compliance Sheriff.

Experience coordinating multiple teams across business and technology domains.

Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
