OVERVIEW: We are seeking a Spanish Tutor for this upcoming school year, who is knowledgeable and qualified to assist students who are studying literature in the Spanish language.

Tutoring sessions may be one-on-one or in a small group setting.

All tutoring will occur on the Ridley campus in our Learning Centre.

Job requirements: First-language or fully fluent speaker of the Spanish language; ·Meet with students, as needed,



over the course of the year (at student discretion and based on tutor availability); Sessions most often take place at the conclusion of a literary work and near major assessments due dates; Converse with students about literary texts studied in the course; Offer the student feedback on first language oral and written work; Help assess mock oral examinations in collaboration with the subject supervisor; ·It is expected that the tutor will have read the works studied by the students and be familiar with the course expectations; ·Communicate with the family, Learning Strategies teacher and classroom teacher on a consistent basis; QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year of post-secondary education in the related field of study Knowledge of teaching techniques and learning styles Tutoring experience is an asset Excellent communication skills Ability to travel to Ridley College for student meetings OCT considered an asset
