Job Summary

Responsible for the organization and management of the nursing unitensuring Ocean View’s standards for quality care are maintained, under thedirection of the Neighbourhood Manager.

Qualifications

- Current registration with the Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator.




- Bachelor or Nursing Degree or Nursing Administration Course (preferred).
- Three (3) years geriatric nursingexperience.
- Demonstrated administrativeexperience and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively as acontributing team member
- Demonstrated knowledge of thenursing process, nursing diagnosis, excellent clinical assessment skills andproblem solving
- Demonstrated supervisory andinterpersonal communication skills *written and oral)
- Ability to work a 24-hour shiftrotation on any nursing unit.
- Knowledge and experience in Venipuncture (preferred)
- Ability to attend work on aregular and consistent basis

Salary Range

In accordance with the Collective Agreement between Ocean View Manor and Ocean View Manor Local of the Nova Scotia Nurse's Union.

Rotation

Days/Evenings/Nights: All Shift Hours
