About Us

We are an innovative education business dedicated to delivering seamless learning and administrative experiences for students, parents, and educators. We are building a robust platform to streamline our operations and enrich user engagement, and we are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to lead the development of our Web application.

Role Overview

As our Full Stack Developer, you will own the end-to-end development of our web platform. You will build user-friendly interfaces, design secure backend services, implement payment gateways, and establish a scalable foundation for our growing student and parent base.

Key Responsibilities

- Build responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces for parents, students, and administrative staff.
- Develop custom portals/dashboards for parent account management, student progress, and scheduling.
- Ensure mobile-first responsiveness and smooth cross-browser compatibility

Backend Development & Security:

- Design and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs to power the platform.
- Build protected authentication and authorization systems (OAuth2, JWT, multi-factor authentication) handling user logins, role-based access control (Parents, Admin, Tutors/Teachers), and secure password hashing.
- Manage databases (relational or NoSQL) with clean data modeling, strict schema validation, and optimized querying.
- Payments & Billing:
- Integrate third-party payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to handle one-time invoice payments, recurring subscriptions,

and automated receipts for parents.
- Implement webhooks to process payment status updates, failed transactions, and refunds securely.
- System Architecture & Maintenance:
- Deploy and maintain applications on cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., COPPA, FERPA, GDPR) regarding student and family data.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, error logging, and monitoring to maintain system uptime.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Frontend: Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular) along with HTML5, CSS3, and Tailwind CSS/Sass.
- Backend: Strong experience with server-side languages/environments (Node.js/Express, Python/Django/FastAPI, or Java/Spring Boot).
- Database Management: Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB) database systems.
- Payment Systems: Prior experience integrating payment APIs like Stripe, Square, or PayPal.
- Authentication: Strong understanding of web security fundamentals, CORS, session management, and JWTs.
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Docker, cloud providers (AWS/GCP), and deployment workflows.

Nice-to-Have

- Previous experience building platforms in the EdTech space.
- Familiarity with email/SMS integration (Twilio, SendGrid) for automated parent notifications and reminders.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
