Associate Lawyer - Corporate & Commercial (Solicitor)

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually plus attainable bonus compensation

GGFI Law is looking for a driven Corporate and Commercial Associate Lawyer who wants meaningful files, the opportunity to forge strong client relationships, and real responsibility from day one. Duties & Responsibilities:

GGFI Law is one of the province's leading law firms representing professionals, working closely with clients including dentists, pharmacists, optometrists, veterinarians, family physicians, and specialists. You will take ownership of meaningful pieces of that practice from the start, including:

- Acting as the principal lawyer on large commercial and corporate mergers and acquisitions, including asset purchases and sales, share purchases and sales, due diligence and closing processes, reorganizations, and amalgamations
- Advising clients directly on various corporate matters, including incorporations, reorganizations, amalgamations, and ongoing corporate maintenance
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of corporate and commercial agreements, including shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, franchise agreements, contractor agreements, and employment agreements
- Working alongside a capable team of partners, associate lawyers and staff




- Mentoring summer and articling students as your own book of work grows

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

- 1-6 years of post-call experience in corporate and commercial law, with experience in real estate, wills and estate planning and administration being an additional asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A self-starter who can independently manage multiple files and competing deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- A team-oriented spirit paired with a genuine drive to solve challenging problems
- Comfort working at pace in a fast-moving practice area
- Sound business judgment
- A motivation to excel in the practice of law
