Job Title: Senior Automation Developer

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite – 5 Days per Week

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Developer / QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience with UI automation, API testing, performance testing, test automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration.

The successful candidate will collaborate with QA analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to improve testing efficiency, software quality, and automation coverage.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for enterprise applications.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or WebDriverIO.
- Develop automated API tests using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Perform performance and load testing using JMeter or Gatling.
- Analyze existing manual test cases and identify opportunities for automation.
- Create and maintain data-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid automation frameworks.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and smoke testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Identify, investigate, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to troubleshoot software issues.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, automation scripts, test data, and execution reports.
- Participate in Agile development activities and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with technical and functional stakeholders to deliver reliable testing solutions.

Mandatory Skills 1. UI Test Automation

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright,



or WebDriverIO.
- Experience designing and maintaining reusable automation scripts and frameworks.

2. API Testing

- Hands-on experience with Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Experience validating REST APIs, requests, responses, and integrations.

3. Performance Testing

- Experience with JMeter or Gatling.
- Ability to design and execute performance and load testing scenarios.

4. Test Frameworks and BDD

- Solid understanding of TestNG, JUnit, or Mocha.
- Experience with BDD tools such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.

5. Automation Framework Development

- Experience developing data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid test automation frameworks.
- Strong ability to evaluate manual test cases and determine automation feasibility.

Additional Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, smoke, system, and exploratory testing.
- Experience with database testing and SQL validation.
- Knowledge of defect management, test reporting, and QA best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and enterprise application testing.

- Previous experience working with the Ontario Public Service (OPS).
- Experience supporting Government of Ontario ministries or other Canadian public sector organizations.
- Experience testing large-scale government or enterprise applications.
