Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON

Duration: Long Term (Contract)

Work Arrangement: On-site

Work Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday to Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and User Stories, as well as analyzing current-state and future-state business processes. The candidate should be comfortable working with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and translated into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, maintain, and update Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and User Stories.
- Analyze, document, and evaluate current-state and future-state business processes.
- Gather, analyze, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into transparent functional requirements and actionable user stories.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and other cross-functional teams.




- Participate in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Support requirements management, documentation, and project tracking using tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and ServiceNow.
- Use data analysis and visualization tools to support business analysis and reporting activities.
- Ensure requirements are clearly documented, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Proven experience in business analysis and requirements documentation.
- Hands-on experience creating BRDs, FRDs, and User Stories.
- Experience analyzing and documenting current-state and future-state processes.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, or similar analytics tools.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and ServiceNow.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
