The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will participate in the design, analysis, and execution of structural projects. You are a technical point of reference for your colleagues and clients, and you contribute to the development of your peers.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and analyze reinforced concrete, steel, and wood structures, according to applicable codes and standards
- Produce structural calculations, plans, and specifications
- Conduct inspections, assessments of existing structures, and site surveys
- Ensure site monitoring: review of shop drawings, responses to inquiries, and compliance visits
- Collaborate with architects, engineers from other disciplines, and contractors
- Coordinate projects and advise clients
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Member in valuable standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in structural design
- Proficiency in analysis and design software
- Rigorous, autonomous and good communication skills
- High level of spoken and written French; Good knowledge of English (an asset)
