Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, develop, and support the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and consistent food quality.

- Oversee daily food service operations and ensure appropriate service standards are maintained.

- Coordinate catering services for internal and external events.

- Contribute to menu planning and development.

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to accommodate therapeutic diets and dietary modifications based on residents’ medical needs.





- Promote a safe, professional, and collaborative kitchen environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Red Seal Journeyman certification.

- Current, recognized Advanced Food Safety certification.

- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience as a chef.

- At least 2 years of leadership experience in food services.

- Experience with high-volume food preparation in hospitality, senior living, or long-term care.

- Ability to lead a culinary team and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and service.

- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and, where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Assets:

- Previous food service management experience.

- Training or coursework related to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care.
