Action Force Transport is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Freight Pricing Coordinator to join our Sales team.

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in transportation, logistics, freight pricing, and carrier procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting freight rate requests, preparing competitive transportation pricing, maintaining customer rate information, and assisting with third-party carrier sourcing across our network.

This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, comfortable working with numbers, highly organized, and confident communicating with both internal teams and external transportation partners.

The position will work closely with the Director of Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and terminal teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Freight Pricing & Rate Administration

- Manage and respond to freight pricing inquiries and transportation rate requests across Action Force Transport's network.
- Prepare competitive freight quotations for LTL, FTL, temperature-controlled transportation, intermodal, local cartage, drayage, and other transportation services.
- Calculate customer freight rates based on transportation costs, fuel surcharges, accessorial charges, service requirements, and company margin targets.
- Support the Sales team with accurate and timely pricing for existing customers, new business opportunities, and special transportation projects.
- Assist with preparing and analyzing freight pricing for RFQs, RFPs, contract opportunities, and customer rate negotiations.
- Enter, update, and maintain approved customer freight rates, tariffs, fuel programs, and accessorial charges within TruckMate/TMW.
- Maintain accurate customer rate matrices, pricing agreements, and pricing bulletins.
- Review freight rate calculations and system entries to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor transportation costs and market conditions to support competitive and profitable pricing decisions.
- Maintain organized records of customer rates,



pricing agreements, and rate changes.
- Communicate approved pricing information to Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and other relevant departments.

New Customer Pricing Setup

- Coordinate freight pricing setup for newly approved customers following completion of the onboarding and credit approval process.
- Enter approved freight rates, fuel surcharge programs, accessorial charges, and customer-specific pricing instructions into TruckMate.
- Verify that all customer pricing information is accurate and properly configured before transportation services begin.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure a smooth transition from customer onboarding to active service.

Carrier Relations & Freight Procurement

- Assist with sourcing third-party transportation providers for new freight lanes, markets, and services.
- Research freight market rates, carrier availability, and transportation costs to support pricing decisions.
- Contact carriers and transportation providers to obtain competitive freight rates and service information.
- Compare carrier quotations based on cost, transit time, equipment availability, service capabilities, and customer requirements.
- Assist with carrier rate negotiations under the direction of the Director of Sales.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with freight carriers, cartage providers, drayage companies, rail providers, and other transportation partners.
- Maintain an organized database of carrier contacts, freight rates, service areas, and transportation capabilities.




- Calculate customer selling rates using third-party carrier costs and established company margin requirements.
- Assist with developing and maintaining carrier rate agreements and transportation pricing matrices.

Qualifcations

- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, freight pricing, dispatch, freight brokerage, customer service, or sales support is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with LTL, FTL, refrigerated transportation, intermodal, or other freight transportation services is an asset.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to calculate rates, costs, margins, and percentages accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when preparing freight quotations and maintaining rate information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple pricing requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable communicating with customers, internal departments, carriers, and external transportation partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to learn freight pricing, carrier procurement, transportation operations, and freight market dynamics.
