Position - Functional Tester

Contract - Long Term

Location - Mississauga, ON

Analyse business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.

- Perform Functional, Integration, End-to-End, and Regression Testing to ensure application quality, reliability, and compliance with business requirements.
- Conduct API testing using Postman and Swagger, validating request/response flows, business rules, error handling, and system integrations.
- Validate application functionality across UI, API, and database layers to ensure accurate end-to-end business process execution and data integrity.
- Manage the complete defect lifecycle in Jira, including defect identification, logging, tracking, validation, retesting, and closure.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases in Zephyr/Jira, ensuring traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and releases.




- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Defect Triage, Sprint Reviews, and Release Planning.
- Support release validation, production deployments, smoke testing, and post-production verification to ensure successful and stable releases.
- Identify testing risks, dependencies, and gaps early and work with the project team to ensure timely resolution.
- Prior experience or positive domain knowledge in logistics, transportation, shipping, or supply chain applications would be an added advantage.
