Basir Azizi Bakery is a baked goods manufacturing company specializing in the production of high-quality cookies, pastries and cake. We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and motivated individuals to join our team in our bakery production and packaging warehouse.

Role Description:

The General Labourer – Bakery Production & Packaging role is a part-time, on-site position based in Scarborough, ON. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with mixing, shaping, and preparing bakery products, as well as loading trays, operating basic bakery equipment under supervision, and monitoring product quality. The role involves packaging finished goods, labeling and sealing products, organizing items for delivery or display, and maintaining clean workstations and equipment according to food safety standards.

The General

Labourer will follow production schedules, adhere to health and safety guidelines, handle ingredients and materials, and support the bakery team with other duties as needed.

** This is physically demanding, face paced work environment that requires attention to detail, teamwork and a solid commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, frequently lifting 20-25kg, and working in a fast-paced,



high volume food manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and basic quality control skills to ensure products are prepared, baked, and packaged consistently and safely.
- Basic organizational and time management skills to follow production schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet daily output targets.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with bakery staff, follow instructions, and report issues promptly.
- Reliability and punctuality, with a willingness to work flexible part-time shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, food safety and hygiene practices; previous experience in food production or warehouse work is an asset but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
