Role Description The Head Coach and Assistant Coach roles are contract positions based on-site in Winnipeg, MB. These coaches will plan and lead volleyball practices, develop training sessions that improve individual skills and team performance, and provide instruction on techniques, tactics, and game strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising athletes during practices and competitions, creating lineups and rotations, offering constructive feedback, and promoting safe, inclusive participation.

Coaches will communicate with athletes and families about schedules and expectations, collaborate with club leadership on program goals,



and ensure adherence to club policies and competition rules.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated volleyball coaching experience, with strong knowledge of fundamentals, position-specific skills, and game strategy.
- Ability to plan and deliver structured training sessions, including conditioning, skill development, and team systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor athletes of different ages and abilities.
- Commitment to player safety, injury prevention, and adherence to club and league rules and guidelines.
- Experience working in youth or club sports environments; prior head or assistant coaching experience is an asset.
- Relevant coaching certifications or credentials (e.g., NCCP or equivalent) are preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Winnipeg, MB, including evenings and weekends as required by training and competition schedules.
- Clear background checks and any required child-safety or safeguarding clearances.
