Standard

From an Integrated Bridge Navigation System (IBNS) perspective; plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of externally developed and COTS/MOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems.

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.

Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.

Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.

Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.

Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.

Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degreediploma from an accredited institution in an engineering discipline and 2 years’ experience, or a master’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Equivalent experience/combined education will be considered




- Ability to communicate effectively (write and speak) in English. (Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset)
- The ability to read, review, and develop technical schematics, engineering specifications, and engineering drawings
- Experience with systems engineering processes including requirements analysis; derivation and traceability management; system architecture development; configuration management; requirements verification; hardware and software engineering development processes

- Must be willing to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
- Experience with naval or defense navigation systems
- Experience working within a team of diverse skillsets
- Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team setting
- Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
- Must be able to obtain NATO Secret security clearance
