Role Description The Lodge Operations Manager & Guest Experience Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Shipman, SK, responsible for overseeing day-to-day lodge operations and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role manages lodging services, coordinates with kitchen and bar staff, and supervises housekeeping and maintenance to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. The position oversees guest check-in and check-out processes, handles guest inquiries and feedback, and ensures personalized, attentive service throughout each stay.

The role includes scheduling and supervising staff,



aligning service delivery with hunting operations and activities, and monitoring inventory for food, beverages, supplies, and equipment. The manager collaborates with ownership and guides on operational planning, assists with basic budgeting and reporting, and supports marketing and guest communication efforts to drive repeat visits and referrals.

Qualifications

- Experience in hospitality or lodge management, including oversight of guest services, housekeeping, and food and beverage operations.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with skills in staff scheduling, training, and performance supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on creating personalized, memorable guest experiences.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, address issues promptly, and maintain operational standards.
- Basic administrative, budgeting, and reporting skills, with comfort using common office and reservation software.
- Ability to work on-site in Shipman, SK, including evenings, weekends, and peak-season hours as needed.
- Knowledge of or interest in outdoor recreation, hunting, or wilderness lodge environments is an asset.
- Previous experience in remote or resort-style operations and a valid driver’s license are beneficial.
