Job Title: Millwright

Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Millwright is responsible for safely executing various millwrighting duties throughout the facility.

Job Duties

- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate logs
- Machine troubleshooting, repairing, assembly, dismantling equipment as required and in-line with manufactures specifications and recommended standards
- Responsible for installation, adjustment, and maintenance of mechanical machines and equipment on site
- Ability to safely operate hoisting and lifting devices
- Inspect and examine machinery to detect irregularities
- Communication any failures, unsafe conditions, or wear/damaged equipment found to the Operations Manager and/or recommend equipment changes
- Maintains safe work practices by using all required safety equipment and ensuring safety policies and practices are adhered to.
- Comply with safety rules; report all accidents, incidents and potential hazards immediately.

Requirements





- Journeyman Red Seal Millwright certificate is required
- At least 10 years of experience in a supervisory or lead-hand role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Solid expertise in preventative maintenance (PM), machinery troubleshooting, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical breakdowns. Sewing machines maintenance experience is a significant asset.
- Assembling and disassembling mechanical equipment and machinery
- Experience operating heavy-duty machinery
- Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is required
- Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
- Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to red, write, and communicate effectively

Work Conditions

- Warehouse setting, Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
