SAP Technical Lead / Manager – S/4HANA Deployment

Location: Montreal, QC

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Minimum 3 days onsite/week

Contract: 12 Months, with possibility of extension

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Lead / Manager – S/4HANA Deployment to lead the North American technical deployment hub for a major SAP S/4HANA transformation.

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for leading the regional SAP technical team and owning technical readiness, cutover, go-live and hypercare across the North American region.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the regional SAP technical deployment hub and technical team.

Own technical readiness across SIT2, UAT, Dress Rehearsals, Production Cutover and Hypercare.

Coordinate technical functions including SAP BASIS/BTP, Integration, Security/GRC, QA, Fiori/UI5, PMO, vendors and Operations.

Establish regional governance, escalation paths, reporting and operating cadence.

Own the regional technical readiness view, dependencies, risks, issues and evidence.

Lead regional defect triage, prioritization and escalation.

Support Go/No-Go decisions through readiness evidence and recommendations.

Manage technical change, release and transport governance while ensuring QA and SOX controls are followed.

Own third-party technical readiness including connectivity, environment repointing, testing, defects and cutover activities.

Lead the regional cutover runbook covering ramp-down, execution and ramp-up.

Lead the regional command post during Dress Rehearsals and production cutover.

Validate sequencing, timings,



dependencies and downtime windows for production-critical applications.

Capture lessons learned and ensure remediation is completed between rehearsals.

Lead regional incident response and stabilization throughout hypercare.

Coordinate transition from hypercare into steady-state operations or release management.

Work with distributed global teams across multiple time zones and senior stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience leading large-scale SAP S/4HANA deployments or enterprise SAP transformations.

Technical leadership experience managing SAP technical teams.

Strong understanding of SAP BASIS, BTP, Integration, Security/GRC and custom application development.

Hands-on understanding of SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsals, Cutover and Go-Live.

Strong SAP defect management and triage experience.

Experience with SAP release and transport governance.

Experience managing technical dependencies and production readiness.

Third-party/vendor technical readiness and coordination experience.

Experience with SAP cutover planning, command center/command post and hypercare.

Robust governance, readiness reporting and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to communicate with both senior leadership and technical teams.

Strong problem-solving and influencing skills.

Right to work in Canada.

Preferred

French & English bilingual experience, particularly supporting Quebec operations.

Mining, metals, resources or other asset-intensive industry experience.

End-to-end ERP exposure across Supply Chain, Maintenance, Finance and Commercial.

Experience working with distributed/offshore SAP delivery teams.

Experience with digital adoption technologies.
