Join a cybersecurity software company as a Senior or Staff Software Engineer, building tools for organizations in the U.S. federal defense industrial base. You will work across product development and foundational infrastructure, taking ownership from early planning through launch and improvement.
What You'll Do
- Build full-stack features for experimental products or foundational infrastructure.
- Contribute across the product lifecycle, including planning, design, deployment, and optimization.
- Work hands-on with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Ruby on Rails, with opportunities to use Rust or Node.js.
- Partner closely with product, design, and engineering colleagues in an iterative environment.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and help maintain high engineering standards.
What We're Looking For
- At least 6 years of full-stack software development experience using TypeScript and a contemporary object-oriented backend language.
- Senior or Staff-level technical depth, including leading multi-engineer projects and mentoring other engineers.
- Recent, regular hands-on production coding and a record of ownership, sound judgment, and moving quickly.
- Experience at an early-stage startup and interest in cybersecurity and federal defense-related work.
- Strong computer science fundamentals or an equivalent record of engineering experience.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for this work.
Compensation & Advantages
Annual salary range: $210,000 to $260,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid, with the primary location listed as Canada. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to New York City.
