Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Service Electrician role based in Calgary, AB.

The Service

Electrician will perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings, including service calls, panel upgrades, and equipment installations. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, completing safe and code-compliant repairs, preparing job materials, and documenting work performed. The role involves communicating with customers on-site, providing clear explanations of work required, and collaborating with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

The Service

Electrician will also follow company safety procedures and local electrical codes, while maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.

Qualifications





- Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification or equivalent provincial trade qualification, with strong knowledge of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment, including service calls and panel upgrades.
- Solid understanding of Canadian Electrical Code and local regulations, with a commitment to secure work practices and job-site safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, and to use standard electrical testing tools and instruments.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly and work professionally in occupied homes and businesses.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and complete projects on schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; willingness to travel within Calgary and surrounding areas for on-site service work.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing, bending, lifting, working at heights, and using ladders and power tools.
- Previous experience with a service-focused electrical contractor and familiarity with emergency call-outs is an asset.
