We are seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst (TBSA). The ideal candidate brings a robust product mindset, experience working within agile product organizations, and a solid understanding of servicing functions across small business banking. This role requires close collaboration with business, product, and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and platform capabilities.
1. Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, and Technology teams to define and deliver servicing platform capabilities that support Small Business Banking customers and frontline employees.
2. Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements, translating business needs into user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
3. Support agile product delivery by participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution design discussions, and prioritization activities.
4. Analyze end-to-end servicing journeys across lending, deposits, payments, KYC, account maintenance, and customer servicing functions to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
5. Collaborate with architecture, development,
and integration teams to define system interactions, API requirements, data needs, and technology solutions.
6. Conduct impact assessments and solution analysis, evaluating business processes, operational impacts, data flows, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
7. Support testing and implementation activities, including creation of test scenarios, requirements validation, defect triage, and user acceptance testing.
8. Leverage data and business insights to support decision-making, identify improvement opportunities, and measure product outcomes.
9. Act as the liaison between business and technology stakeholders, ensuring solutions are aligned with product strategy, business objectives, and customer needs.
Qualifications & Experience8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience supporting Canadian Retail, Small Business, or Commercial Banking platforms preferred
- Strong knowledge of servicing functions and processes within one or more of the following domains:
- Small Business Lending
- Deposits and Account Services
- Payments and Money Movement
- Customer Servicing and Account Maintenance
- KYC (Know Your Customer), Customer Due Diligence, and Client Lifecycle Management
- Experience working within Agile product delivery teams and product operating models.
- Demonstrated product mindset with the ability to balance customer needs, business outcomes, and technology considerations.
