About the Role

Hydro One is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of Genesys Cloud, a critical initiative that will modernize communication and operational capabilities within a highly visible, mission-critical environment.

This role goes beyond traditional project coordination — we’re looking for a delivery-focused PM who can drive outcomes, lead complex cross-functional teams, and confidently operate in both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments, including control room operations.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

- You will own the end-to-end delivery of the Genesys Cloud implementation, ensuring alignment with Hydro One’s 5-Stage
- Delivery Model and enterprise governance standards.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing detailed project plans and schedules
- Leading risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID) management
- Driving workshops, stakeholder engagement, and solution alignment
- Coordinating cross-functional technical and operational teams




- Ensuring delivery milestones are achieved — not just tracked
- Preparing and presenting materials for Steering Committee and executive updates
- Acting as the bridge between technical teams and operational stakeholders, including control room personnel
- Supporting change, readiness, and transition activities tied to the new cloud platform

Must-Have Experience

- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager
- Previous hands-on background in a technical role (e.g., Software Engineer, DBA, Systems Engineer, etc.)
- Direct experience implementing Genesys Cloud
- Proven ability to drive delivery, not just maintain documentation or schedules
- Experience leading large, complex, cross-functional teams
- Robust experience managing enterprise technology implementations

This role requires the contractor to be onsite 2 days a week in Toronto. Will require travel to Barrie or Orillia office approximately once a week.
