Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead / Manager – S/4HANA Deployment to lead regional technical delivery for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

The successful candidate will oversee multiple technical workstreams, including SAP BASIS/BTP, security, integration, quality assurance, and application development. This role will be responsible for technical readiness, testing governance, production cutover, go-live execution, and post-go-live hypercare.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the regional SAP technical deployment team, including resource planning, onboarding, and delivery coordination.
- Own technical readiness and execution across SIT, UAT, dress rehearsals, production cutover, and hypercare.
- Coordinate technical workstreams covering SAP BASIS/BTP, integration, security and authorizations, and custom application development.
- Manage defect triage, prioritization, escalation, release governance, and transport approvals.
- Ensure interfaces, integrations, reports, and third-party dependencies are ready for testing and production deployment.
- Manage vendor and third-party technical readiness, including connectivity, testing, setting changes, and cutover coordination.
- Develop and maintain technical readiness reports, deployment plans, cutover runbooks, and governance documentation.
- Lead dress rehearsals, validate deployment sequencing and downtime windows, and ensure lessons learned are addressed before go-live.




- Support regional go/no-go decisions through readiness assessments and risk reporting.
- Lead regional incident management and stabilization during hypercare, ensuring a smooth transition to ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with global program teams, regional business stakeholders, and IS&T; teams across multiple time zones.

Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical teams in large-scale SAP S/4HANA deployments or enterprise ERP transformation programs.
- Strong cross-functional knowledge of SAP BASIS/BTP, integration, SAP security and authorizations, and custom application development.
- Practical experience overseeing SIT, UAT, dress rehearsals, production cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
- Experience with defect management, release governance, technical readiness assessments, and deployment planning.
- Strong vendor management, stakeholder coordination, escalation, and delivery governance skills.
- Experience managing technical resources and coordinating multiple workstreams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and senior stakeholder management skills.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
- English and French proficiency for Montreal-based stakeholder-facing responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mining, metals, natural resources, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Exposure to end-to-end ERP processes, including supply chain, maintenance, finance, and commercial operations.
- Experience working with global teams, offshore delivery models, and multiple time zones.
- Familiarity with digital adoption tools and related technical ownership.
