- The candidate will be responsible for reading customer meters by manually entering meter data or downloading smart meter information using an optical probe and handheld tablet. The candidate will collect, record, and maintain meter readings in written or electronic systems.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning daily field work orders based on location and established priorities, contacting customers as required, interacting with customers at job sites, documenting safety and access issues, and completing Check In/Check Out procedures at the beginning and end of each day.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing in office electrical service meter disconnects and completing smart meter disconnection and reconnection activities using an optical probe and handheld tablet.
- The candidate will be responsible for hand delivering customer notices, rescheduling disconnections, and issuing 48-hour payment warnings while following established on-site procedures and conditions.
- The candidate will be responsible for conducting visual inspections and investigations to complete Investigation Orders involving switched meters, damaged meters, faulty meters, and other meter-related issues.
- The candidate will be responsible for initiating and completing Service Order activities, including investigating billing irregularities, resolving customer billing inquiries, addressing meter connectivity issues,



processing address changes, and updating account information.
- The candidate will be responsible for tracking and reporting various operational metrics, including activity completion times, mileage, administration time, and other required performance data.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing Field Service Representative training and job shadowing support to current staff when required.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing minor related duties that support the above responsibilities and do not impact the overall job classification.

Job Requirements

- The candidate must have a College Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, along with customer service experience or experience in a related area, and a valid BC Driver’s License.
- The candidate must have a high school diploma, several years of experience in customer service or a related field, and a valid BC Driver’s License.
- The candidate must successfully complete the in-house Field Service Representative training program.
- The candidate will be required to hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Security and safety

- The candidate will be required to successfully complete pre-employment alcohol and drug testing as a condition of employment for this safety-sensitive position.

- The candidate will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with local area knowledge considered an asset. The role may require occasional overnight travel, and a company vehicle and cell phone will be provided.
