Maintains an organized team-work flow in the pharmacy
Greets patients in a pleasant manner paying attention to their specific needs
Notes patients information and pick-up time when collecting the prescription from customer
Processes prescriptions through entering, billing, filling
Notifies patients when prescription is ready
Maintains and stores prescription records
Reminds patients when they are due for repeats
Creates blisters and med-sheets bi-weekly
Processes benefit claims, adjudicates and reverses transactions as required
Respects and maintains patient confidentiality
Ensures that patient information is current and up to date
Maintaining and promoting good relationships with patients
Handling and responding to patients inquiries or complaints, referring to Pharmacist when required
Assists with inventory count
Ensures that the forms, supplies and medication required for daily use are available
Calls patients who have not picked up their medication after three weeks




Contacts physician’s offices regarding refills or clarification of patient’s prescriptions
Calls pharmacies for transfers (in only) upon patients request
Creates reports as required
Prepares balance Owings upon new order arrivals and notifies the patient
Checks for expired medication every month
Return expired / recalled / order stock errors products back to manufacturer or wholesaler
Sterilizes and maintains cleanliness in the dispensary
Other duties as required

Required Knowledge / Experience
Experience in retail pharmaceutical systems and dispensing procedures
Exceptional communicational and organizational skills
Strong customer / patient satisfaction orientation
Ability to maintain the optimum balance between the profession of pharmacy and business of Pharmacy
A valuable command of the English, Hindi (and/or Punjabi) would be an asset
Ability to work productively as a member of a agile and quick-paced team Attention to detail
Proficiency with Propel Rx system

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week

Experience:
Pharmacy Assistant: 2 years (preferred)

Language:
Hindi/Punjabi (preferred)
