Job Overview

The Parts Technician reports directly to the Fleet and facility Manager and performs the following duties such as ordering, organizing and inventory control for parts and materials. They assist in day-today data entry, receive phone calls, research quality and pricing of parts and provide overall support to the shop team.

Responsibilities / Duties

· Data entry.

· Locate and obtain stocked service parts.

· Assist Lead Mechanic as required.

· Assist with organizing, preparing toolbox talks.

· Check stock levels weekly.

· Research best pricing and availability for materials and parts.

· Pick up materials / parts as required.

· Answer shop phone calls and respond to inquires in a professional and courteous manner.

· Report completed work (via driver cry sheets) upon return of their units after servicing.





· Assist technicians with miscellaneous paperwork by entering order information into the computer system.

· Other miscellaneous duties as required.

· Communicate and provide updates / progress reports to dispatch and fleet management

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Part Technician Certification (Required)

· 2+ year of Parts Technician experience (preferred)

· Proven technical skills

· Proven knowledge of transport trucks / parts and mechanical technical terms / language

· Excellent service skills

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

· Ability to work in a quick-paced environment.

· Work well with others (internal and external)

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
