Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency
Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, rolling sushi, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a protected dining environment
Serve customers with enthusiasm and professionalism, explaining menu items and accommodating special requests
Manage kitchen stations efficiently during busy service hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Monitor ingredient freshness and communicate inventory needs to ensure continuous availability of high-quality products
Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen
Experience
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar food preparation role within a restaurant or food service environment
Robust knowledge of sushi techniques, fish handling, and Japanese culinary traditions
Hands-on experience in cooking, meal preparation, and food presentation in a quick-paced setting
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience in the food industry is highly desirable
