Job Title: Medical Office Assistant for Family Practice and Walk-In Clinic

Job Summary:

Hys Centre Medical Clinic is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic by managing front-desk responsibilities, patient interactions, and administrative tasks. Experience with HealthQuest EMR is required.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction: Greet and check in patients, assist with paperwork, and ensure accurate documentation.
Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm appointments, follow up on missed appointments, and send reminders.
Phone & Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
Patient Registration & Insurance: Register recent patients, verify insurance coverage, and update patient records in the EMR system.
Billing Support: Assist with direct billing, verify insurance details, and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
Medical Charting:



Maintain and update electronic medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Clinical Support: Prepare patients for consultations and assist with minor medical procedures as needed.
Administrative Duties: Manage inventory, order supplies, and provide administrative support to physicians and clinical staff.

Qualifications & Skills:
Medical Office Administration certification required.
Proficiency with HealthQuest EMR is mandatory.
Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
