We are looking for a friendly, hardworking, and energetic Cashier/Chef to join our Jamaican restaurant team. This position is a combination of customer service, cashiering, and food preparation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and be able to provide excellent service while preparing high-quality food.

Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble food according to restaurant standards and food-safety guidelines.
Take customer orders and operate the restaurant’s POS system, including Micros POS.
Process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately and provide correct change.
Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional customer service.
Answer customer questions about menu items and make recommendations or suggest additional items when appropriate.
Prepare, package, and serve food efficiently, especially during busy periods.
Keep workstations, kitchen areas, and equipment clean and sanitized.
Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Assist with other kitchen duties and food preparation as needed.
Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant,



food-service, or cashier position is preferred.
Experience with POS systems and cash handling is an asset.
Food preparation or kitchen experience is an asset.
Robust customer-service and communication skills.
Friendly, positive, and energetic attitude.
Ability to perform basic math and handle transactions accurately.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying organized.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and follow restaurant procedures.
