Mundi Hotel Enterprises Inc. has an immediate opening for a Controller position in our Burnaby office to keep up with the demands of the growing company. The ideal candidate will work closely with office staff and responsible for supervision of the full cycle accounting and reporting for a group of properties within the company and reporting the results to the Director of Accounting and owner.

The duties will include but not be limited to:

· Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, supervise Payroll and day to day operations for accuracy and completeness.

· Set up new companies for new projects and accounts as required

· Balance intercompany accounts

· Monthly/quarterly financial reporting to the Director of Accounting and lender reporting

· Ensuring monthly government filing is completed on time

· Monitor internal controls to ensure that they are working effectively and efficiently

· Ensure compliance with taxation authorities, both Federal and Provincial

· Year End Financial statements preparation with account reconciliations





· Liaison with external accountants

· Assistance with budget preparation and monthly cost monitoring

· Supervise, delegate and provide guidance and leadership to bookkeepers

Qualifications

· Enrolled in or graduate of the CPA program.

· 5 years progressive accounting experience in Canada

· Familiarity with Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook

· Experience with Sage, Quick books online and other accounting software

· Excellent written and oral communication

· Ability to multitask and prioritize

· Attention to detail and dependable

· Ability to work under pressure in a rapid-paced setting

· Problem solving and organizational skills

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: Commensurate based on experience.
