Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Collections Agent to join our agile financial services team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, communicating effectively with clients, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances. Duties
Contact customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to follow up on overdue payments
Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements that align with company policies and customer circumstances
Review account details, perform account analysis, and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy
Maintain detailed records of all collection activities using accounting software and data entry tools
Collaborate with accounts receivable and accounts payable teams to resolve billing issues and improve cash flow




Conduct account analysis to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection efforts
Prepare reports on collection progress, outstanding balances, and account statuses for management review

Skills
Robust knowledge of accounting principles, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
Proficiency in accounting software and data entry systems for accurate record keeping
Excellent phone etiquette combined with effective negotiation skills to handle sensitive conversations professionally
Exceptional customer service skills to foster positive interactions with clients while pursuing collections
Analytical mindset with the ability to perform account reconciliation and detailed account analysis
Strong math skills for calculating payments, interest, or settlement figures accurately
Effective analysis skills to assess account histories and determine appropriate collection strategies

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
