West Layne Electrical is looking for a motivated and reliable Electrical Apprentice to join our team.
We are a locally owned electrical contracting company based in Parkland County, serving Spruce Grove, and Stony Plain. We take pride in doing quality work and building lasting relationships with our customers.
We're looking for someone who wants to learn the trade, work hard, take pride in their work and develop their skills in the electrical industry. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on a variety of residential, commercial and acreage projects.
No previous electrical experience is required. We're happy to consider someone who is just starting out and is willing to learn. A good attitude, reliability and a solid work ethic are what matter most.
What you'll be doing
Assisting with residential electrical installations
Helping with wiring, renovations, service upgrades and new construction
Assisting with underground electrical installations and trenching
Learning to read plans and follow electrical codes
Maintaining a clean, organized and safe worksite
Working alongside an experienced Master Electrician
What we're looking for
Currently registered as an Electrical Apprentice in Alberta,
or willing and eligible to register
A solid work ethic and willingness to learn
Reliable, punctual and dependable
Good attention to detail
A positive attitude and ability to take direction
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Ability to perform physical work and work outdoors when required
Previous electrical or construction experience is an asset, but not required. We're willing to train the right person who is interested in building a career in the electrical trade.
