As the Commander of Paramedic Services, you will ensure productive operations for the District of Sault Ste. Marie Paramedic Services. This critical role requires strong leadership and communication skills while supervising field staff, delivering emergency pre-hospital care, and handling documentation to meet Ontario Ambulance Standards. You will also perform managerial duties in others' absence and respond to ambulance calls as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise all field staff within Sault Ste. Marie
• Observe care provided by Primary Care Paramedics




• Ensure staff comply with PPE and health standards
• Complete performance appraisals for team members
• Investigate and document complaints effectively
Requirements:
• Primary Care Paramedic Credentials and Base Hospital Certification
• Five years of field experience with two years of supervisory experience
• Valid Class F Driver’s License required
• Communications experience in both official languages
• Scheduling expertise in 24/7 operations preferred
