1st Ave Animal hospital is looking for a kind and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist. We are a rapid-paced small animal practice located in Vancouver. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as be part of a teamwork environment.

Responsibilities
Answer the telephone, greet clients, invoicing, and follow instructions directed by the doctor
Handling animals during procedures
Monitor and care for animals during and after surgery
Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and examining and operating rooms

We are open 7 days a week, so weekend hours may be required. Work experience in the field is an asset and training will also be provided.
