ABL Employment is currently seeking reliable and hardworking General Labour Associates for a temporary assignment at a recycling facility in Port Sydney, ON.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing hands-on physical work in an outdoor environment and assisting with various recycling yard operations.

Location: Port Sydney, ON
Pay: $20/hour
Shift: Day Shift - 8:00 AM - 5:00PM
Job Type: Full time, Temporary Assignment

Job Duties & Responsibilities

- De-rimming Aluminum Wheels: Assist with removing aluminum rims from tires using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Raking: Rake and clean designated yard areas to collect loose materials and debris.
- Material Collection: Pick up and gather non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, copper, and other recyclable metals.
- Sorting & Organizing: Help separate recyclable materials and place them in designated areas.
- General Yard Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).




- Perform additional general labour duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physically capable of bending, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Able to perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous general labour, recycling, construction, or yard experience is an asset.
- Must have CSA-approved safety footwear.
- Must have reliable transportation to the worksite.

Assignment Details

Duration: Approximately 4 to 8 weeks.
Work Environment: Outdoor recycling and scrap metal yard.
Physical Requirements: Regular bending, raking, lifting, and handling recyclable materials.
