Contribute to the City of Sarnia as a full time Temporary Maintenance Assistant for up to five months. Your role includes snow removal and maintenance of transit facilities during winter months.

Reporting to the Manager of Transit, this role requires snow removal services for bus shelters and pads. Assist in maintaining the Transit Garage, engaging in bus and shelter cleaning. You’ll work in various temperature conditions, with duties commencing early November.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide snow removal services for bus shelters
• Clean and maintain transit garage facilities
• Operate snow removal equipment like shovels and blowers
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required
• Maintain compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act

Requirements:
• Valid Class G License
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Experience with snow removal machinery
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Clean shaven for respirator fit testing
