Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation, with experience using various accounting software. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

The Tax

Preparer will play a vital role in helping clients optimize their financial health through accurate and effective tax filing processes.

Responsibilities
Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
Analyze financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other tools to manage client data
Perform account reconciliation and auditing to verify financial records
Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable
Conduct financial analysis to identify potential deductions and credits
Support clients with investment-related tax implications and budgeting strategies
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance




Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer tax-related questions

Skills
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other accounting tools
Strong analysis skills for interpreting financial data and identifying discrepancies
Experience with auditing, account reconciliation, and bookkeeping processes
Knowledge of financial services such as payroll management, accounts payable, and investment considerations
Ability to perform detailed analysis for tax deductions, credits, and compliance purposes
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting
Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial planning strategies
Strong communication skills for explaining complex financial concepts to clients
