About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies within their operations. This role, based in Kimberley , is crucial for maintaining the company's integrity and reputation in the highly regulated insurance market. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting internal audits, and advising management on regulatory changes. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal or compliance professional with a strong understanding of the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations (e.g., FAIS, FICA, POPIA).
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company's operations, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement.
- Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.




- Develop and deliver compliance training to staff across all departments.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.

Requirements

- A degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance or legal role, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry .
- In-depth knowledge of South African insurance legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Robust analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing abilities.
