Student Health and Wellness Advisor (Part time)

We are seeking a Student Health and Wellness Advisor to support students' physical health, emotional well-being, and successful adjustment to college life.

This is a non-clinical advisory and referral position.

Key Responsibilities
Provide students with general wellness information and guidance.
Help students access appropriate healthcare, counselling, and community services.
Support students experiencing academic stress or adjustment challenges.
Explain available health insurance information and related resources.
Organize wellness workshops, awareness campaigns, and student activities.
Maintain confidential student support records.
Coordinate with student services and academic departments.
Refer students to qualified professionals when specialized assistance is required.
Support student orientation and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications
Relevant post-secondary education in Health Sciences, Psychology, Social Services, Student Affairs,



Education, or a related field.
Experience supporting students or individuals in a health, wellness, education, or community services setting.
Robust interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of community health and wellness resources.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Experience supporting international students or multicultural communities is an asset.

Working Conditions

Approximately 10 to 20 hours per week, primarily campus-based.

The role does not include medical diagnosis, clinical treatment, or regulated counselling unless the individual holds the appropriate credentials and is authorized to provide those services.

Pay: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
