CIBC is seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Examiner to lead examinations in Toronto with a hybrid work model. In this key role, you will be integral in managing compliance evaluations across wealth, asset, and capital markets.
You will report to the Senior Director of Compliance and EAML Examinations Program and play a vital role in executing regulatory compliance examinations. Your responsibilities include thorough assessments, adherence evaluation, and providing insightful recommendations for improving compliance processes. You will also support examination portfolios that extend beyond your primary focus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead compliance examinations with thorough execution and reporting
• Act as a subject matter expert for regulatory queries




• Maintain relationships with CIBC lines of business and compliance partners
• Assist team members in conducting effective examinations
• Stay informed on regulatory changes affecting compliance processes
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance or audits
• University degree or equivalent work experience
• Relevant designations such as CPA or CIA preferred
• Robust communication and interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking abilities for informed decision-making
