The Yard Worker will report directly to the Manager of Container Yard Operations. Key responsibilities include verifying container transactions, updating the terminal management software, and maintaining cleanliness in the yard. Inspecting containers upon entry and exit, coordinating truck arrivals, and monitoring refrigerated container temperatures are also essential functions of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Verify acceptance and release of containers in the terminal
• Update container interchanges in terminal management software




• Conduct inspections of containers entering and leaving
• Coordinate truck pickups and arrivals efficiently
• Sweep and wash the inside of containers as needed
Requirements:
• Computer skills and familiarity with keyboarding
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Previous customer service experience a plus
• Forklift experience is beneficial
• Willingness to complete Dangerous Goods training
