Job Title: Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI & Machine Learning

Employment Type : Contract

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Toronto

Ideal Rate: $80- $85 (Based on Experience)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week, including Thursday

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience developing and implementing data science solutions.
Robust hands-on Python programming skills for machine learning and GenAI applications.
Robust knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning, model training, evaluation, and optimization.
Experience writing complex SQL and PySpark queries.
Experience with data transformation, manipulation, and structured and unstructured datasets.
Understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud-native application development.




Hands-on experience developing GenAI applications using LLM APIs and frameworks.
Experience building AI bots or agents with reasoning, tool-use, and integration capabilities.
Practical experience with RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases, and embedding models.
Knowledge of fine-tuning methodologies and conversational AI or chatbot development.

Nice to Have
Experience with AWS AI/ML services, including SageMaker, Lambda, and Bedrock.
Familiarity with AWS Glue, Glue Catalog, Glue Data Quality, and Step Functions.
Experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and big data technologies.
