Enhance therapeutic recreation services as a Recreation Assistant with The Salvation Army. This casual role supports program delivery and resident activities, making a meaningful impact daily. As a Recreation Assistant, you will be part of an Interdisciplinary Care Team under the Recreation Therapy Manager.

This position includes developing and executing therapeutic programs for seniors, maintaining records, and coordinating supply requisitions. You'll play a key role in fostering resident engagement and wellbeing, while also monitoring their health responses and participation. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in program development and execution
Compile monthly statistics and calendars
Implement and monitor recreation techniques
Record daily attendance and participation
Transport residents using program vehicle Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy
Experience with senior populations
CPR and Standard First Aid certification
Explicit Criminal Record Check
