Transform lives as a Recreation Assistant with The Salvation Army, providing vital therapeutic services in Alberta. Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy Manager to enhance resident engagement and well-being. In this casual role, you will assist in developing and executing recreational programs for seniors under the guidance of the Recreation Therapy Manager.

You will play a key role in assessment, data collection, and maintaining therapy areas. Working with individuals with mental health conditions, your contributions will significantly impact the residents’ quality of life. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and implementing therapeutic recreation programs
Compile monthly statistics and attend to resident records
Support the therapeutic care plan and resident assessments




Complete supply requisitions and maintain therapy equipment
Transport residents using the program vehicle when needed Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy or related experience
CPR and Standard First Aid certification required
Clean Class 5 driver’s license with a transparent abstract
Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
