District is seeking a qualified individual for a 0.57 FTE temporary position. Candidates must hold a Master’s in counselling and have experience at the secondary level. You will work collaboratively with staff and play a critical role in coordinating support for students and families. Key Responsibilities:
Provide counselling services in individual and group settings
Collaborate with staff to implement effective SEL interventions
Liaise with parents and external agencies for support
Assess and respond to student crises effectively
Embed Indigenous culture in counselling practices Requirements:
Master’s degree in counselling is required
Experience as a secondary school counsellor
Familiarity with the BC Graduation Program
Knowledge of student exceptionalities and crisis response
Ability to work in an alternative learning setting Contribute to a supportive school atmosphere through your counselling expertise and cultural understanding.
