Paralegal / Office Manager

Dominion Criminal Defence — London, Ontario

Dominion Criminal Defence is a law firm based in downtown London, Ontario, specializing on criminal defence and appeals. We are seeking a licensed paralegal to manage daily office operations and support our legal practice.

The position centres on office management, billing, and client management, with opportunities to assist with drafting and make court appearances within the permitted scope of practice. The successful candidate will be organized, reliable, and comfortable taking responsibility for both administrative work and client service.

Responsibilities
Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and file organization.
Coordinate client intake and maintain regular communication with clients about appointments, court dates, and outstanding requirements.
Prepare client accounts, process payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate client records and track court dates, deadlines, and other commitments.
Assist counsel with drafting correspondence, court documents,



and other legal materials.
Attend court on matters within the permitted scope of paralegal practice.
Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain client confidentiality.

Qualifications
Hold a valid paralegal licence and be in valuable standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Explicit written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
A professional and considerate approach to clients, including those experiencing stressful circumstances.
Comfort using office software and learning billing and practice management systems.

Experience in criminal law is an asset but is not required. We welcome applicants who are interested in criminal defence and willing to learn. Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
