Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our optometry practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for helping others, and a keen interest in the optical field.

Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes at the front desk.
Conduct preliminary patient assessments, including taking medical histories and measuring visual acuity.
Assist the optometrist during examinations by preparing instruments and ensuring the exam room is ready.
Educate patients on eyewear options, including lenses and frames, while providing expert advice on optical products.
Manage electronic medical records efficiently ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Schedule appointments and follow up with patients.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing equipment as needed.




Handle retail sales transactions for eyewear products while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications
Previous experience in a medical office or optical setting is preferred but not required.
Strong front desk skills with an emphasis on patient care and customer service. .
Sales experience in retail or optical environments is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
A positive attitude, robust interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
