We are currently hiring a Utility Worker for a busy meat processing facility. The successful candidate will assist with production, operate packaging and labeling equipment, use scales throughout production, and perform general production and cleaning duties while following all food safety and GMP requirements.
Location: Martin Grove and Rexdale
Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Responsibilities
Operate packaging and labeling machines throughout the production process
Operate and monitor scales and weighing equipment to ensure products are properly weighed
Assist with daily meat processing and production activities
Load, unload, move, and organize products and materials
Assist production staff with various tasks as required
Clean and sanitize equipment, machinery, work surfaces, and production areas
Follow GMP, food safety, and workplace health and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow instructions from supervisors and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Previous experience in a meat processing, food manufacturing, packaging, or production setting is an asset
Experience operating packaging, labeling, or weighing equipment is an asset
Comfortable working in a cold/chilled workplace
Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive work
Ability to lift and move products/materials as required
Reliable and punctual with valuable attendance
Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
Safety shoes required
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
