About Us:
We are a community-focused non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing and support services. We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance / Caretaker to support the upkeep and daily operations of our residential facilities.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance / Caretaker is responsible for general building maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained workplace for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
Conduct regular inspections of building systems and common areas
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate with external contractors as required
Maintain cleanliness of common areas and exterior grounds
Support unit turnovers, including basic repairs and preparation for recent residents
Ensure compliance with safety standards and organizational procedures
Qualifications & Requirements:
3 years of experience in maintenance, building operations, or a related field
Strong hands-on skills and problem-solving ability
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform physical tasks and lift as required
Experience in residential or social housing is an asset
Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset
Applicants must provide a police-issued certificate of no criminal record and must have no history of misconduct toward the elderly.
